Viti is a junior at Berkeley studying Molecular Environmental Biology and Data Science. She is passionate about environmental and social equity, and has enjoyed working on a wide range of initiatives including Asian American mental health and the preservation of endangered species. In her free time, Viti enjoys dancing, graphic design, and playing tennis. She is looking forward to using content design and management to widen the scope of SERC/TGIF's impact on campus!

Evelyn Fontan (she/her)

Evelyn Fontan (She/Her) is a rising third-year majoring in Society and Environment and Public Health. Evelyn is passionate about the intersection of health and environmental factors. She joined SERC in the Fall of 2022 as a vermicomposting team member, go worms! Evelyn is also the co-historian for the Communidad for Health Equity (CHE), where she loves taking photos and scrapbooking whenever she gets the chance. Nicole Gonzalez (she/her)

Nicole Gonzalez (she/her) is a fourth-year studying Environmental Sciences and minoring in Geospatial Information Science & Technology (GIST). Her passions lie in the intersections of environmental justice with public health and sustainability initiatives. On campus, she actively participates in furthering these interests through environmental organizations and research. Armando Gutierrez (They/them)

Armando (they/them/theirs) is a third-year undergrad studying Conservation and Resource Studies and Ethnic Studies. They come from a small border community in San Diego, CA, which has heavily influenced their passion for environmental justice and intersectionality. Armando is also passionate about highlighting and supporting LGBTQ+ voices in the environmental space and is excited to work for SERC! Elena Hsieh (she/her) is a third year from San Diego studying English and Conservation & Resource Studies, and minoring in Politics, Philosophy, & Law. Within these spheres of interest, she is most passionate about environmental litigation, animal welfare, and ecological literature. Raneem Iftekhar is a fourth year pursuing a double major in Environmental Economics and Society and Environment with a minor in Geospatial Information Science. Lydia Kim (any)

Lydia is a third year student studying Psychology and pursuing a Certificate in Design Innovation. Through researching climate psychology, she became interested in understanding the intersections between mental health and climate justice, such as eco-anxiety and ecological grief, in high-risk and vulnerable populations. Lydia is passionate about sustainability and equity-focused design, and they hope to contribute to a more environmentally just future with SERC. Maya Kuo (she/her)

Maya (she/her) is a third-year majoring in Conservation and Resource Studies with a focus on Environmental Biology. She is interested in seeing how applied research and outreach can help create healthier ecosystems and communities, especially in terms of remediation, restoration, and environmental justice on global and local scales. In her free time, she loves to explore local parks, read, and try new recipes. Jed Lee

Wellness and Environmental Justice Community Engagement Manager

Jed Lee is an activist, artist, and filmmaker of the Chinese Diaspora from the Bay Area in California. Jed organizes for the Student Environmental Resource Center at UC Berkeley, their alma mater, as a Wellness and Environmental Justice Community Engagement Manager to continue pursuing environmental, climate, and development justice. Jed strongly believes that we can always look to nature to find inspiration for our interpersonal relationships, collective movements, and personal healing, and that there is always love, life and hope in this world.

Carissa Loverme (she/her)

Carissa (she/her) is a second year pursuing a major in Conservation and Resource Studies and a minor in Environmental Engineering. Growing up, she spent a lot of time by the beach, which sparked her interest in sustainable solutions and water quality. At Berkeley, she is excited to work with others who are passionate about sustainability on campus and those who harbor the same drive and innovation needed to tackle environmental issues. In her free time, she loves to spend time in nature, watch movies, and play tennis.
