Sharon was born and raised in San Diego county, where she began her educational endeavors at her local community college. She is a proud first generation college graduate and daughter of Lao refugees. She is an aspiring pleasure activist, environmental educator, and centers her work and vision with values of love and joy. Former Councilmember Cheryl Davila has called Berkeley home for 42 years. The Former Councilmember and her husband have been married for over 36 years and raised two wonderfully amazing children (now adults). Former Councilmember Davila introduced the Climate Emergency Declaration and Fossil Free City Resolution, which was unanimously passed by Berkeley City Council in June 2018.
