Cheryl Davila

Bio/CV: 

Former Councilmember Cheryl Davila has called Berkeley home for 42 years. The Former Councilmember and her husband have been married for over 36 years and raised two wonderfully amazing children (now adults).  Former Councilmember Davila introduced the Climate Emergency Declaration and Fossil Free City Resolution, which was unanimously passed by Berkeley City Council in June 2018. Since then, over 2400 cities around the world and 190+ in the USA have Declared Climate Emergencies.  Cheryl is the Founder of the Climate Emergency Mobilization Task Force which just completed their 4th Virtual Summit Series last month. She is on the Interfaith Council of Alameda County (ICAC) and the Network of Elected Officials and Staff advisory boards, Co Founder of the Berkeley Equity Summit Alliance & Mobilize Berkeley, a board member of Consider the Homeless. The Former Councilmember continues her work started on Council being committed to maintaining equity, unity, diversity, affordability, safety and warmth for all as a volunteer looking out for our communities.
