Brief overview of SERC
SERC is the environmental hub on campus, providing resources and support to the environmental community at Cal. We lead membership teams, zero waste initiatives, teach DeCals, and more. SERC cultivates a collaborative space to strengthen the collective effectiveness of the sustainability community, and provides resources for students to actualize their visions of a more equitable, socially just, and resilient future.
SERC Positions
About the SERC Hiring process:
SERC will be recruiting for the 2026-2027 academic year in two phases. Phase 1 recruitment applications will be open from February 23- March 8. Phase 2 recruitment applications will be open from May 11- June 8.
Applications for phase 2 open from May 11 and close on Sunday, June 7th 11:59pm.
Interviews will be conducted in June via zoom.
Open Positions During Phase 2 Recruitment:

Resource and Operations Associate: The Resource and Operations (R&O) Associate works with the R&O team to manage the SERC physical space and resources. This includes overseeing space reservations, reviewing supplies and art requests from individuals and student organizations, and ensuring the space remains an inclusive and welcoming community space.

Marketing and Communications Associate: The Marketing and Communications Associate works directly with a co-leads and the SERC Communications Team to support all of SERC’s social marketing, media, communications, and graphic design.
