Angie Castellon is a 4th year Political Science student with a minor in Public Policy from Pittsburg California. Growing up in a mostly brown and black community allowed her to see the many injustices that her people go through on a daily basis. These injustices encouraged her to go back to school and obtain a career in which she can represent her community and help uplift the voices of those who often feel unheard. She has a passion for justice and lives her life treating others as she would like to be treated. She is a Regent and Chancellor's Scholar who is also a part of Berkeley's new and upcoming Yardi Scholar Program which focuses on analyzing the intersection of democracy and technology. During her free time she enjoys writing poetry and spending time with loved ones. Her childhood dream and now her current goal is to become an attorney and provide representation to those who can not afford it by either joining a non-profit or opening her own non-profit firm in the future.
