Making SERC Work: Amanina Shofry
SERC is made possible by a dedicated team, made up of students, sustainability professionals and the UC Berkeley environmental community. To celebrate “Big Give” organized by the University, we’re spotlighting some of the inspirational individuals who are making SERC work.
Amanina Shofry, Environmental Justice Associate
Q: Why did you join SERC and how has it changed your life?
A:“SERC is one of the most empowering environmental spaces I have been in. SERC gives me both the space and the tools to reimagine what environmentalism looks like, it connects me with so many passionate and driven sustainabilibuddies, and it has helped facilitate a more connected and cohesive environmental community. One of my biggest regrets in my time at Cal has been not joining SERC sooner!”
Participate in “Big Give” hosted by UC Berkeley on Thursday, March 8 by making a donation to SERC here. With your contributions, we’re able to make SERC work and continue to develop sustainability programs and services for students at UC Berkeley.
