Louis Spanias (Society and Environment ’14) served as the Internal Director for SERC in 2013-14, and is serving the SERC Alumni Committee for the second consecutive year. After graduating from Cal, Louis earned a master’s degree in Nature, Society, and Environmental Policy from the University of Oxford in 2015. Starting in 2016, Louis served as Harvey Mudd College’s Sustainability Program Manager, building out the College’s sustainability program and spearheading environmental projects and initiatives across campus. As of 2019, Louis has worked as an energy and sustainability consultant for Cumming Group in downtown Los Angeles, where he manages programs and projects for various public agency and municipal clients. Louis’ work cut across the areas of climate action, renewable energy, alternative fuels, environmental commodities, EV charging and electrification, sustainability planning and reporting, and environmental policy. Louis is an accredited Envision Sustainability Professional and an Airport Carbon Accreditation Verifier.
