Earth Week is organized by the Earth Week Planning Committee which consists of representation from the Student Environmental Resource Center (SERC) and Environmental & Sustainability Student Organizations, with support from campus and community partners.

The Earth Week Planning Committee is working to ensure all events and programs represent the sustainability community’s understanding of diversity and inclusivity: race, ethnicity, gender, age, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, education, marital status, language, and physical appearance.

      • Richard Norgaard is a Professor Emeritus of Energy and Resources at UC Berkeley and a member of the Delta Independent Science Board.
      • Robert Benedetti is currently a Research Associate at the Center for California Studies, CSU Sacramento. He is an urban political scientist. In 2013, he became an emeritus professor at the University of the Pacific where he had been Dean of the College. He is a past chair of California Humanities, the State’s humanities council.
      • Jonathan Rosenfield is an expert on fish biology for the Bay Delta. He works as a fish biologist for at The Bay Institute.
